This single mistake can totally sink your chances of getting an interview. But, it happens much more than you would think….

The created with an agency or employer when they look at your CV or covering letter. If this is not 100% , it will sink your chances quicker than almost anything else. Remember that employers and agencies are constantly bombarded by calls, emails and letters each day. They are therefore looking for ways to cut through the junk and go directly to the few candidates who they can place

If yours contain glaring, obvious errors, you can imagine how quickly your chances go down the pan.

And….. the number one problem is !

Microsoft Word and Open Office both have integrated spelling checkers

If your covering letter, or CV has spelling mistakes, you should be shot! There is simply no excuse for this and the employer will see this exactly the same way.

You must spend enough time checking your documents. Spelling mistakes jump out and will probably be shown when they open up your CV within Word anyway. If you can’t be bothered to check your documents, it doesn’t say much about how well you would perform for an employer does it……
